The building of the Winter Residence was built right on the Motława River in the Old Suburb, just a few hundred meters south of the icon of Gdańsk - the famous Crane. The brick facades and high gables of the building refer to the port tradition of the city. The building is reflected in the waters of the Motława River, from which it is separated only by a strip of greenery.
